About

Hi! I’m Wesley Lee, a writer, blogger, and volunteer from Changsha, China. I enjoy weaving stories through novels, delving into books, immersing myself in movies, and getting lost in music. My identity encompasses both cisgender and gay.

Welcome to my blog, a space where I capture snippets of my life and work. Thank you for joining me!

Early Life

Born in a national-level poverty county in Hunan, China, I excelled in a provincial key high school and went on to major in Chinese language and literature at a normal university. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006.

A prolific writer since high school, my work has graced literary websites and youth magazines in China, alongside captivating romance novels published in Taipei, China. This experience fuels my passion to keep creating. Explore my latest work on portfolio and stay tuned for future releases!

College wasn’t just about writing for me. I became deeply involved in online gaming communities, actively contributing game reviews to Sina Blog. This not only gave me valuable insights into player needs, but also led me to connect with industry professionals. This experience sparked my interest in pursuing a career in the online game industry, prompting me to learn relevant programming languages.

Careers

After graduating from college, I embarked on a dynamic career path in China’s thriving internet industry. This journey involved roles in internationally renowned media companies, online game developers, and original literature platforms. I gained experience in various areas, including marketing, brand packaging, project operations, and education.

My passion for writing never faded, and after several fulfilling years in the internet industry, I decided to pursue it full-time. This shift has been rewarding, and I’m proud to have signed online publishing contracts with industry leaders like China Literature Group and ByteDance.

Personal Life

Beyond writing, I actively volunteer for an LGBTQ equality organization, contributing to their advocacy projects. I was also a member of the China Writers Association and the New Social Stratum Association, demonstrating my dedication to the literary community and social progress.

I’m a proud gay man, currently single. Though I haven’t come out yet, I’m comfortable with my identity.
